Juan Casal is a Telecommunications and IT Technical Engineer with more
than 13 years of professional experience developing MPEG video encoding
and transmission algorithms and applications.

Juan has currently focused his professional activity in HEVC, convinced
that HEVC will be the perfect enabler for the next generation of video
applications where different video technologies will converge, changing the
world of video as we understand it now, and enabling new and disruptive
